Outlook Express (Mail) Settings
Start the program Outlook Express. You need to create a mail account using which you will be able to receive and send your e-mail messages.
For that in the menu “Service” go to the item “Accounts”.
The window “Internet Accounts” will open. Go to the bookmark “Mail”. If you have been dealing with e-mail, an account may already exist here. Thus, you will be able to make use of several mail accounts simultaneously. Now it is necessary to add a new account PeterStar. Press the button “Add” and select the item “Mail…”
Mail account creation master will start running. In the line “Your Name:” specify your name in the format in which you want a person received your letter to see it, and press the button “Next”.
In the line “E-mail Address:” of the pop-up window specify the address you created at the registration, and press the button “Next”.
Then specify the names of incoming and outgoing mail servers. In the field “Server Type for Incoming Messages” specify POP3. In the line “Server (POP3 or IMAP) for Incoming Messages” specify pop3.peterstar.net, and in the line “Server for Outgoing Messages (SMTP)” specify relay.peterstar.net. Press the button “Next”.
Now you need to set an account and password. In the line “Account:” specify the name (in small letters) preceding the symbol "@" in your e-mail address. If your address is sidorov@peterstar.ru, the account will be sidorov. In the line “Password:” specify the password you were given at the registration of this mailbox. Then press the button “Next”.
Specify the name of this mail account, for instance PeterStar Mail, and press the button “Next”.
If you are getting connected to the Internet via a telephone line, a spot should be put against the item “By Telephone”. Press the button “Next”.
At this point you need to specify a connection via which communication with the mail server will be established. If you have already created a connection with PeterStar, specify it. If you haven’t, put a spot against the item “Create New Remote (Telephone) Connection”. How to set a connection for that or this operating system is described here. Press the button “Next”.
In the next window press “Ready”. Your Outlook Express is set and ready for dealing with mail.
