PeterStar Having Completed the First Stage of Transport Network Development in the Republic of Komi

PeterStar, a leader of the market of telecommunication services in the Northwest Region, being part of the Synterra Group of Companies, announces the deployment of a transport network in Syktyvkar.

Construction of the city’s fiber optic ring was completed in December 2009. The transport network was integrated into the national-wide network of the Synterra Group via two backbone channels 2.5 Gbps in capacity. The volume of PeterStar’s investment in this project came to RUR4 million.

The infrastructure deployed will become a basis for developing PeterStar’s affiliate opened in the capital of the Republic of Komi in August 2009.
